The Five Hour Rule~

If you are really hungry, do you think you need to eat more food than if you were only a little bit hungry? As a rule the answer is no, you just think you do. When you feel like you are starving, you are more likely to overeat, even though your body would be satisfied with a lot less food. For many people, getting too hungry contributes to more eating problems.

Use a five hour rule so you don't get famished and into starving mode. If you eat at regular intervals then your body's metabolism knows what to expect and it helps your body manage your weight more effectively. To prevent yourself from getting too hungry, maintain snacks that you can grab quickly. You can take it when you go shopping, travel on airplanes or attend long meetings at work. Don't worry about looking foolish, others may perceive you as a person who cares about eating.

I think its best to eat at regular intervals, my system works better this way. Of course life throws monkey wrenches into your day sometimes. However, for the most part I have breakfast between 1-2am, lunch or a snack at 430-530am, dinner at 5pm usually and a snack round 9pm. I usually sleep from round 8-3pm and that is how I work best since I work overnights and even on my days off I try to stick to this schedule.

-Plan mealtimes, never go more than 3-5 hours between meals & snacks!
-Write your plan in your notebook, record the times you eat!
-Notice any patterns, such as whether you tend to overeat when you go too long in between meals.

I already made a blog entry before this one so I may be just about talked out for the day :)~ Its pretty sunny out even if its still fairly cloudy. I was thinking about jumping on the treadmill for 30 minutes since I'm not so sleepy. I fell asleep for 2.5 hours about 130am because my brain just said sleep sista sleep. I did a mess of exercise yesterday though. Had pizza and salad for dinner yesterday. I swear we must have that every other week. I had more salad than pizza and it was a bit carb heavy yesterday so I'll try to get in more fruit and vegetables over the next few days and a lot of tea and water as usual.

No worries about the SPAT & FitBit though, I have a plan and I'm sticking to it lol, no more talking, just doing!

The SO is ready for the game but he thinks the Hawks may win. We're not speaking right now lol. Not really, everyone has their own opinion. I say stay away from Richard Sherman as much as possible. Our defense needs to handle business like they never have and the offensive line needs to protect our QB Peyton Manning. I think if we can do those 3 things, we win. Russell Wilson is not the QB Manning is but who is? My friend in NY says a lot of the crowd may be for The Broncos and that would help things considerably but I'm cool about it all until game time. I've watched NFL Network sporadically this week and Kurt Warner (Rams/Arizona), Michael Irvin (Dallas) Warren Sapp (Tampa) and Deion Sanders (2 wins, Dallas and San Fran) were talking Super Bowls. Sapp was the only one who had only been to one and won one the others had multiple SB appearances. Warner only won one as well but he had been a few times. We know Irvin won 3 :)~

I love it when just the players talk round table style about playing days and Super Bowls. No offense to women but I don't watch football for the sideline reporters and cheerleaders. As I don't watch NFL Network to watch a women try to corral the players to fill air time, its annoying. The only woman I want to see is Cheryl Miller in basketball otherwise I tune out the noise. I do it with some of the former coaches like Steve Mariucci or Matt Millen, so I'm an equal opportunity hater lol. I wish Madden would still announce since I don't care for Collinsworth and let's not even start on Joe Buck, they drag Al Michaels and Troy Aikman down some. Its all I'll say about that subject since I'm trying to be positive here. Jon Gruden is my favourite announcer right now!

Happy Saturday!

I am bad at waiting too long to eat. My appetite does not turn on like it should and then it's too late! My meals are more like snacks because I am not very hungry an that is also problematic. My workouts sessions are long and hard so my calorie burn is great. When I finish it them I am very ravenous. I am not sure how to avoid unless i eat in advance to replenish the burned calories. Thanks for the great advice! It's always really good.

Your football talk is Greek to me but I am glad you are into sports. My triplett sister and brother are sport nuts and I am sure they will be glued to the game tonight. Good luck to your Broncos and Peyton Manning! I think thats who I am rooting for tonight!

Have a wonderful Groundhog Day and Super bowl Sunday!

some GOOD ADVICE, and ones I need to practice, although, at the moment I am feeling full more, instead of thinking constantly food, do not know if it is because I am stressed or doing less exercise, so aware of not burning as many calories.

This is all an education to me, thank you

I've never had the honor of working nights. I agree about not getting to hungry. I don't eat more, but I eat 'differently'. It becomes all about comfort when I'm too hungry. hehe
