Courage is the mental strength to be able to endure something we may fear as being difficult or dangerous. When we are courageous, we step boldly out and face our fears knowing that God will protect us. In order to do what God has called us to do – follow Him, share His word, be obedient to Him – we have to have courage. Our courage doesn’t come from us but from Him when we go to Him with faith, trust and hope that He will see us through as we obey Him.
Psalm 31:24 “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we come today You today seeking Your help and guidance to be more courageous. We have fears. We have doubts. We put things off that we should do for You because we lack courage and faith. Help us today to step boldly out for You. We pray for courage and strength to do what You have called us to do so we are living as You want us to live. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If we want to do what God calls us to do, then He will give us the courage we need to do it.
Courage comes from deciding to do something no matter the cost and putting our trust and hope in God.
When we are courageous, we give God our worries and step out boldly for Him.
God can give us the courage when need when we decide to follow His will.
Going to God before doing anything will help us have the courage we need to do it.
Job 11:18 “Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.” (NLT)
