Best and Right choices for me

I have been doing some serious soul searching lately trying to identify one bad habit I would like to break. I decided that speed eating is my biggest problem. So began my Phases journey. This has been the hardest thing I have done in a long time with regards to my weight loss journey. But the effort has been a blessing.
At the beginning of this week, I implemented some ideas to help me establish that my plan for breaking the cycle of speed eating was the BEST and RIGHT choice for me. Here are the things I implemented this week:
emoticon Use SLUG CLUB to help me develop the habit of using the Eat Slow app during one meal per day
emoticon Use Walker Tracker to its full potential. I am involved in a Million Steps each quarter challenge. So far this quarter I have walked 266,963.
The competition ends March 31. What does this mean? To hit 1,000,000 steps by March 31st, I need an average of 12,000 steps per day. This is doable:)
emoticon Use the No S Habitcal. I started No S on January 13th.

Look at all that green emoticon This means that I have had 3 good weeks on No S...going for the month of February to be green too!!!

Looking back over the past four weeks, I can safely say that I am better off now than I was four weeks ago. I am down 3 pounds since starting No S. I do eat slower and I have found I am eating less!
emoticon The big Aha moment for me was when Hm Annie suggested that I do something different with my eating, it all seemed to click into place. I became open to change and God let me know that He wanted me to try No S again. Let me say, I have never been happier with my eating plan. Drinking water and getting five servings of fruits and veggies is doable...easy in fact. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me...I am a believer. I have tried No S in the past with dismal results.
emoticon The other BIG Aha moment was when I realized I am challenge driven. I want points, give me points. I know this sounds crazy, I am 53 years old. But if I can earn points for doing the dishes...poof the dishes are done. Points, you say for vacuuming and poof...the carpet is done!...Let me earn points for cardio and ST and now I am moving like never before emoticon
I want to chose for myself and viola, I am the happiest I have ever been here in Sparkland...IT is MAGICAL, here at the Castle emoticon

    I love the HabitCal, and yours is fantastic! Congratulations!

    I have heard eating with your opposite hand helps slow down, and putting fork down, picking up water glass, and taking a sip between bites, helps slow down. Some people have issues or fault find with these, but when I practiced them, they worked for me.

    I am sooo glad you are sooo happy! Sounds like you found your sweet spot and it's all clicking for you!

    Oh, Cynthia, I am sooo *happy* I got the chance to get on over *here* this evening!! You are one emoticon lady I can literally emoticon *see* emoticon the ENERGY bouncing off of!! You took an aim on a target you were sooo DONE with and after sketching yer' blueprint and laying out your intentions WHOA NELLY, that little arrangement sent you HURDLING out of the starting gate!!

    Oh, yes, Slug Club keeps us focused on ONE thing per day and your walker is very doable, but that HabitCal is AWESOME!! DANG I love your GREEN. You could even change the colors to mean whatever YOU want them to mean, right? Like your AWESOME could be YELLOW (Hufflepuff, LOL!!) if you want.

    That is one of my favorite verses. I can 'do' ALL things through Him ... oh, yes!!

    I'm a bit of a points chomper myself, Cynthia!! hahaha!! I was in Pioneer Girls (earned badges and ranks) so it's instilled in there a bit. This month I hope to keep my challenges easy since I need to work on our spring*term though.
