January Recap

Friday, January 31, 2014

I got a late start, but I started. After coming down with the H1N1 virus on Christmas eve and having a fever of over 100 for 15 days. I was finally able to make it out for my first run on January 10th 3.08 miles in 43:51 (intervals of course) on very snowy roads. I was able to keep the momentum going for the rest of the month logging 43.41 miles.

I got the exercise thing down, and I am getting a grasp on my eating. But it helps that my BF has been making sure he is keeping the fridge stocked with fresh fruits and veggies, lowfat dairy and lean meats.

I lost 6.75 inches and not sure what my total weight loss was for the month, but I was down 7 pounds when I weighed in last Friday. I really need to get a scale, I can't believe I put it in storage.

Now is time to set some goals for February all my goals will continue to carry over from January. By sticking to these I will know weight loss results will happen in their own time. The important thing is that I continue to do me.

1) I will find my voice again! I will not just sit back and be quite cause it's easier...I will stand up for myself.
2) I will make time for myself! If I have my time scheduled and something comes up it will have to wait!
3) I will learn to say NO!!! It is not my responsibility to make everyone happy.
4) I will treat my body right! My body is my fortress and it is up to me to take care of my fortress! Exercise, eating healthier and drinking plenty of water.

My fitness goal is to continue running 5 days a week and strength train 2-3 times per week. I have my first 5K race of the year on February 8th, I plan on run/walking it. Not real focused on my time, I just want to focus on how running makes me feel.
