Day 30 is about Postponing Eating!

Once you start eating snack foods it can be really difficult to stop eating them. The taste and the texture can trick you into wanting and eating more. To change the way you manage the food, you can decide to postpone eating them. Tell yourself you can always decide to have the food later, waiting never hurt.

At the beginning you may have to remind yourself to wait, at social gatherings, parties, getting together with a friend at your house. If you wait to eat until the end then you will have done less damage than if you snacked throughout. This system will also help you when you eat out at restaurants. Just postpone eating the bread or tortilla chips right away and have some with your meal. When your meal arrives add a roll or some tortilla chips to your plate. This works well to avoid reaching for seconds or eating desserts.

-Watch for places where you can postpone eating. Hold off as long as possible, especially with snack foods or sweets!
-Record each of the foods you postponed and then note how much you ate compared to what you normally ate.
-Notice whether by postponing eating, your able to skip eating certain foods entirely.

Days 31-40 start tomorrow, Listening to your Body~

So my brother did his cat scan this morning and the dye made him ill again but he was able to do the test. The results should be available in a day or two.

I'm fine and have done 90 minutes of exercise today, this no walking thing is for the birds lol. I'm just a walking fool. I wouldn't have been able to walk outdoors today because it was more than windy today. It brought my allergies up a little. I made gnocchi for dinner, it was good. I made chicken and rice with vegetables for the others who wouldn't eat my gnocchi.

I have my tablet going right now reading on Kindle. My Spark Tracker came today in a much too big box, ridiculous really. This one is a new one so I should be fine with it. I'll set it up in a little bit and try it out just to be certain its going to do its work for me. I just connected the little sucker and its ready to go tomorrow but I'll give it a try tonight to see if its functional for me! I'm not so chatty tonight because I am in reading mode & been listening to some music on shuffle, Layla is on presently.

I watched General Hospital overnight; I know its fun trash but sometimes I take my break downstairs when I am eating and watch a little TV so my eyes don't cross from staring at computer screens so much. Chandra Wilson was on (Dr. Bailey on Grey's Anatomy) and she did well playing against my man Roger Howarth. I watch the show when I know he's on because he amuses me. He's a fine actor in my view, should be doing prime time. I gave up soaps a long time ago since they were more plot than character driven and it annoyed me. I do better reading books it seems and watching certain movies. A lot of TV, movies and books are trite, banal, stupid really. I can't be bothered with it. I watched TV shows like Frasier, The BBC, MASH. Programs with intelligence and humour that isn't crass and terribly offensive. The only new programs I watch are Blue Bloods and Castle. I was going to do The Blacklist with James Spader but I was thinking of watching season 1 over the summer instead. I usually watch Joyce Meyer at 2am if I don' t want to watch it online and she had a wonderful lesson on, I think someone was speaking to me lol.

So I'm thinking about February's goals and doing yoga 5x's a week is there; continuing with the 100 Days book, walking 90 minutes, strength training 3x's a week and cardio videos the other days is the plan. Writing a page in my journal is the last one. Journaling long hand is a lot of fun for me so I have to keep going there. Plus it has my mind considering various possibilities~

P.S. Ignore Spark Tracker data from (Thursday) today, it seems pretty accurate, since I used it just for my hour treadmill session, but we'll see tomorrow if the 2 are pretty close. If its too far off from FitBit I'll turn off the FitBit on the Spark Site and just take the data from the FitBit site and leave the Spark Tracker sync going and tally my numbers at the end of the day! I may just use the FitBit all the time and the Sparker for my workouts, which seems like the wise thing to do because the numbers tonight look crazy sorta since I only did 4.34 miles walking today and the Spark Tracker thinks I did 7.8 miles, not! I'm going to see if I can manually adjust that part. As nice as it would have been to do almost 8 miles it didn't happen.

    Well I want you to know that I upped my minimum steps yesterday to 12K. My plan is to be up to 14K within a couple of weeks. Then watch out friend, I'll be nipping at your heals! LOL
