Time for bed

Even more than food I am obsessed with sleep, or rather the lack of it. I went to bed early last night as planned, thinking I had cracked it. Early night means more hours and opportunities to get rest. Wrong. Last night I was awake practically all night. Couldn't get back to sleep after I woke up after 2 hours. So this morning I slept late but even then I couldn't settle. Gave up and got up. So tonight I am trying to get in bed by 10.30. Then what.
Well kept on track today food wise.
I exercised for 10 minutes to a video of Chris Froome highlights from the Tour De France. I imagined I was him peddling up to the top of the mountains and then across the finishing line with his team.very inspirational stuff. I was exhausted at the end.
Then a Sister from church called to say she was coming round to give my husband communion. So there was a burst if activity cleaning and tidying the kitchen, by tidying I mean hiding as much clutter as I could. Then I discovered not only had my daughter eaten my last apple, she had also taken the last parking permit, so I had to run to get some more so Sister could park her car. She has a bad leg, sciatica, so can't walk far.
It's always beautiful and peaceful when she brings communion. We read from the gospel about the presentation of our Lord in the Temple. One of my favourite readings.
Well another day over. I just read a message from someone who whenever he gets tired just goes to sleep. This way he avoids the cravings that tiredness brings. By the way it's been raining all day again today. Almost ready for bed. Goodnight.

    I make it a good habit to go to bed at the same time each day, with very few exceptions. I wake up ready for the day the next morning. God Bless YOU! Vic.

    I have a hard time sleeping also. I have found that what works for me, is to ask God to ease my mind and relax my body so I can sleep. I forgot do it one night earlier this week and was wondering why I couldn't sleep. It dawned on me what had happened and I prayed it about was able to sleep for the rest of the night.
    A white noise machine also helps me. I listen to the night sounds.
