Changing My Exercise Routine To Keep From Being Bored!

I am really really loving the new Jillian Michaels workouts that Curves introduced January 1st. After being a member of Curves for 6 years and doing my Monday, Wednesday and Friday strength training with Curves Smart on my lunch hour I decided I needed something new and challenging so I decided to add the Jillian Michaels class on Thursdays even though I have to take lunch an hour early to be able to attend one of 4 classes offered. Two in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. It is more aerobic and is meant to keep you heart rate at maximum rate for the duration of the 1/2 hour class. It is exhausting but invigorating at the same time and I'm proud to say that I have not needed to do any of the modified versions of the exercises. Go Me! LOL. I am adding another class on Tuesdays because it really does make me feel good. (After it's over of course, LOL)

I'm also loving the Spark People Activity Tracker! I love exercising and especially love walking and day hikes. I bought the new Spark People Activity Tracker back in October and love the new motivation it has given me. With a regular pedometer or my Nike GPS Sports watch I had feed back but now that we can get virtual trophy's for walking and exercising it has made the routine a little more interesting and fun.
I'm still walking 2 to 3 miles in the mornings before work and always look forward to longer walks with my dog on the weekends. I have my activity tracker set to 10,000 steps a day and sometimes I don't get there but if I'm close after dinner I walk around the house or on my treadmill until that goal is reached and all the lights light up. That is why I love my little motivator.

Now that spring is around the corner, it really is just a couple of months away, I'm looking forward to all day hikes again with my sister and seeing my weekly steps soar.
