Day 22 - Motivation

Ok I have found that almost every woman I talk to lately is unhappy with her weight or the way she looks (which is mostly her weight). So I ask myself why is it we are all so unhappy? Most of us know what to do & how to do it but yet we continue on this yoyo lifestyle (myself included). We work really hard to lose the weight, then for some reason we quit & gain it all back + MORE! Some of us have probably lost & gained more weight than what we even weigh right now.

We have more tools in front of us than we could ever use but in reality all it takes is our own determination & motivation. We know what to do; we just choose not to do it. Spark people is a valuable free tool, that includes everything we could need to get healthy but yet most of us don’t utilize what we have right in front of us, why – what is our biggest excuse –“ I DON”T HAVE ENOUGH TIME!”

When my class on Monday night was on "time" management, I realize how much time I waste & how many excuses I come up with as to why I don't exercise or eat right. Too busy, too expensive, too cold, I’m too tired, etc., I’m sure you can even come up with more.

So I looked up the meaning of the word “motivation” & this is what I found:
1.giving of reason to act, the act of giving somebody reason or incentive to do something

2. Enthusiasm. a feeling of enthusiasm, interest, or commitment that makes somebody want to do something, or something that causes such a feeling

3. reason: a reason for doing something or behaving in a particular way

We are giving the reason to act, we don’t like the way we feel or look & we know we are not healthy, so shouldn’t that be incentive enough.

When we do get it completed, we eat right, we exercise, we even get our sparking completed – don’t you have that feeling of enthusiasm, feel proud of what you have accomplished even if only for the day.

Reason – big one here – it should be because we want to be healthy, feel good, have more energy & to live a better life!

My challenge to everyone that reads this – where will you be this time next year, next month, next week, tomorrow or even later today?
