Arms, cakes, and rain

Oh my! emoticon

My right arm is not broken emoticon emoticon went to see the physical therapist and he fixed me up. I'm a cleared for take off. I am good to go to start working out again. emoticon

My best friend is getting married! emoticon And she asked me to bake the cake! I have never actually done a wedding cake, but I'm stoked because I had always wanted to do one. How much fun is this! The theme is magically in emoticon love, the colors are silver and lavender, and the cake is german chocolate with white butter cream frosting. This means I now have a pressing need to really lose emoticon some weight so that come the wedding pictures I don't feel like a whale. emoticon

We are having the first real rain emoticon of our winter season. The local fire department is real scared about the upcoming fire season. The only thing going for us is that last fire season burned a ton of brush and there hasn't been much wet emoticon season to make the weeds grow.

As for my current weight situation. I have 95 emoticon lbs to lose, I certainly won't be losing that by the wedding in May, however, I would like to only be 70 lbs overweight by then, to be back in One-derland.

The general weight loss plan is simple:

1. Eat home cooked meals. This is the real key. Because even if my calories aren't perfect, eating out is a bugaboo emoticon for me. The trick is to always have a good size cooler with plenty to emoticon eat in it for me. It also makes it easy to watch carbs/calories/protein.

2. Cardio emoticon emoticon emoticon before breakfast. 5x/week. Any days of the week, it doesn't matter. But, I need it to help my body respond well to my carbs, which are best consumed in the AM.

3. Yoga emoticon 2x/week, and stretching 3x/week. Why? I need that to help prevent any further injuries.

4. Weigh in emoticon at least once a week. I don't always have the time to do it every day, so in the spirit of being reasonable, once a week is ok.

5. Daily journal what I eat emoticon

For the first time in a year and a half, I feel hopeful about my life situation, weight loss/weight gain not withstanding. I have gotten my health care situation ironed out. I have my room squared away for exercise. I have healthy food in the fridge, plenty of skin cream, and I'm ok with most things. The only thing is finding something that is really exciting, my job is sort of 'meh'. Frankly I always find things that don't make a living to be much more interesting.
