Good Lawdy Miss Claudy!!!!!

It has been 2 years and 4 days since I have posted a blog. It has been nearly that since I have been on SparksPeople at all. (ducking my head)!!!). I need to realize I keep making excuses for my lack of discipline. My health is worse than before although have not really gained any more weight. I looked back on those promises I made to my self and others and ....man...did I fall short. I am, however NOT beating my self up about that. That is what satan would want me to do. But My Lord Jesus says I am worth the fight. So I am starting over. Redid a LOT of my Spark stuff. Man has it changed. I am going to sit down and re-write my story for Sparks Page soon. And my pic is way outdated. LOL I am going to live up to my SP name...JustJudeAttude!!!!! I can not wait till it gets warmer so I can go walking. I am trying to get more sleep. I am a night owl and that habit is hard to break. appreciate any tips that does not require meds. LOL I challenge you all to challenge me and t hold my feet to the fire this time. Gota get it done or I may find my self in a bigger pt than what I am now.

    I know what ya mean about the self - discipline, I have really been working on that one myself. It just feels so good and motivating to make those goals, then something happens and I give up!!!!! Why? UN DISCIPLINED!! LOL. :)

    I have discussed this with both my daughters and we have laughed about how excited we get with a new project or goal then it flitters out.
    But not this time!!! this time the goal is to FINISH WHAT I START!

    I am praying and asking the lord to help me along this journey, as I have faith he will. He only wants good for us. God has all the strength we need. God bless you.

    Great that you came back - you're on the right track! Also, glad to know I'm not alone in this sleep thing. Being a night owl - the hardest habit to break (I haven't figured it out yet).

    Getting enough sleep is on my 2014 hot sheet. It always gets pushed to the back burner, but it's actually holding me back now. Here are a couple of things I found that have helped, one motivational and one physiological:

    F.lux is totally safe for any computer and easy to turn off if you like. It's a subtle difference, but I noticed that I got drowsier earlier when it came on at sundown. (I'm a total nightowl too!)

    Welcome back! You took the first step by returning! With God beside you for strength and guidance, and Spark People as support, YOU CAN DO IT!

    As for sleep, I go for some Sleepy Time tea by Celestial Seasoning. I also have some lavender oil that I use to calm me down before bed. Many people in my family use valerian root for falling asleep as well. We are all about natural remedies!
