Yesterday was our monthly coffee-and-dessert meeting at work. The dessert is usually some not-fancy cupcakes, which I pre-decided to skip. I planned to just have coffee with half-and-half (I drink black coffee except as a special treat).
The caterers did not get the cupcake delivery today, so they sent a tray of pastries and mini-cheesecakes. I stuck to my plan anyway. Yea for me!
But at 10:30 pm, I made an enormous bowl of frozen-banana "ice cream" with walnuts. I weighed it before I ate it, and I was shocked at the amount, but I ate it all anyway.
Too much temptation for one day.
I think I need to pre-decide on a last call for eating, and a bedtime. I lose all willpower after 10 pm. And the DP is right--eating at bedtime messes with my sleep.

    A scheduled time is a great idea....I am up at 4 AM every day at work by 6 AM home about 4:30 PM or 5 PM and try to get dinner in before 6 PM. Last night was a bit late as I did not get out of the dentist until 5:45 PM (teeth cleaning)....and we ate around 6:15PM, but I try really hard not to eat any later then 7 PM....which works for my schedule
