I'm still running. We've even ordered a treadmill that we'll be receiving this Friday. Lately, the roads haven't been good for weekend running, so I'm happy that I'll have an option when the weather is an issue.

I like running in the cold quite a bit, but ice is my nemesis. One slip, and I could have to give up running for months.

I've run two 5Ks now - one in November, one in December. Truly enjoyed them, and I'm hoping that the weather won't prevent me from my planned 5K in February. I'm working towards a 30 minute 5K slowly, and would love to get sub-10 minute miles. Five months ago, I didn't see either of these in the realm of possibility.

I've signed up for a 10K in March. I'm anxious to start training, and with the treadmill, it should be easier to get long weekend runs in when going outside isn't an option.

I attend abs class twice a week, and have noticed a difference in my core strength. I did 30 Day Shred for the first time in months a couple days ago, and only my upper body really ended up hurting afterwards. Even my legs and knees felt good.

I enjoy reading books about running, and I have three subscriptions to running magazines. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed, but it's something I'm passionate about.

Eventually, I worry that I'll plateau, and it won't be fun anymore. I like seeing signs of improvement, and I worry that I could never love running for the sake of running. If that happens, hopefully I'll find something else to focus on.
