challenge to get my motivation back
Wednesday, January 22, 2014
As I wrote on my sparkpage's introduction, I have an injurie on my heel and I had to stop my workout because of that. So I stop everthing, even a 10 walk was painfull. I finally had steroid shot. That help but my doctor told me that I will have to avoid all my usual workout for 1 year (running, HIIT, straingt training, etc.).
«Biking and swimming should be fine° he told me...
The reason why I did great with my previous workout it's because I did everything at home. With my 4 kids, I don't have time to go out for a workout.
So swimming is not an option for me.
Bike it's ok, but in winter it's not possible.
That let me with the stationnary bike. And for me that is sooooooo boring. When I do stationnary bike, the only thing I check is the time...
But it's my only option and I have to find something to get my motivation back... and I think I found it!
I will begin with small amount of time... and to help me to be consistant, I will do it watching one of my favorite show: FRIENDS
As I have to take it slow and I could't push myself for now with my heel, watching a tv show while I'm on the bike should be perfect.
I know that if you could watch tv while you're training is not really a good workout, but in my case the intention is to find my motivation not to train really. And test my heel.
So here's the challenge:
I will watch the season 1 of FRIENDS and go on the stationnary bike for each episode. That will be exactly 24 minutes of workout per day... not even 30 minutes... just 24. It's 2 weight watcher point, because I calculate it as a slow pace workout.
So yesterday I started. I took my season 1 and oups... the first cd is not in the case... But that's not a problem, I will begin with the second one.
at episode 7.
The one with the blackout
I know that the biggest thing in that one is that Rachel meets Pablo, but for me the funniest thing it's Chadler. I love that character! and I always enjoy is joke.
Anyways, I didn't look a the time for all the 24 minutes. I enjoy it. I think it's a great challenge for me and I'm excited. I will see after the first season if I upgrade my workout or not.
Today it will be "The One Where Nana Dies Twice".
I'm looking forward to it and that's a good sign.
And oh! I forgot to said I goooooood I feel after that 24 minutes. I almost forgot that post-workout feeling!!!
