I wonder...

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

With the thoughts I have about not really looking forward to warmer weather (I love winter a lot which isn't terribly odd in itself, I know a lot of people who like winter) I wonder if I'm in the minority that has reverse SAD. Something about the snow melting is always kind of depressing to me and I really don't look forward to summer and being waaay too warm (which I have been every year of my entire life and no I wasn't always overweight, in fact I was underweight for my first eleven years of life) and feeling sick every time the temperatures spike into the mid-80s and above. No thanks. Can we just skip back to fall after winter this year?

I've got it and it is awesome. One day I'll find someone who wants to snowshoe (or I'll convince hubby to come with) and it'll be even more awesome. If I could even find a hiking buddy I'd be happy (someone who wouldn't mind a little snow on the trails, I'm a flatlander so that's not as dangerous as it sounds).

I am with you on loving winter. But don't ruin it by worrying about what's coming later. All you have is today. Enjoy that snow, if you've got it! If you don't, imagine it is on the way.

I wonder if there is reverse SAD? I have SAD, but absolutely love the cold. Love it!!

    Positive thoughts to you~

Well we are all different, what can I say!!! I'm going to enjoy those 57 more days of winter with absolute glee and try not to dread spring.

I only cycle when it's between 40 and 70 and not raining so that makes me very fair weather and rules out most of the year here (especially the not raining, Michigan is rather damp).

No thanks!! I'll take summer over winter, any day. The thought of having to wear all of the clothing necessary to stay warm is way too much for me. Also, the possibility of not being able to cycle makes me not very happy.

I don't get along with the warmer temps, either, as it's to hard to breathe and I have to be on my oxygen constantly. The cooler the temps, the easier it is to breathe and I don't have to wear it, unless I'm walking or working out. However , HATE snow! If the temps would stay between 45 and 70, I'd be a really happy camper!

    Be blessed,
