I've increased my walking by more than double this week and that darn scale went up 2.5 lbs! Logic tells me that's gotta be water retention but this just solidifies my dislike for that darn scale. I'll keep going, knowing the additional exercise is good for me and the scale will cooperate eventually.
Watching my Fitness minutes and mileage grow throughout the month (2 things I have complete control over) is so much more motivating than gambling on what that scale will read. The scale actually demotivates me far more frequently than it motivates me, yet I'm not quite ready to toss it out. On the contrary, I see it as a challenge. I will continue my increased walking regime and glower at the beast until it yields to me.
