Starting back a streak

Monday, January 20, 2014

I took 41 days off my streak because of surgery. I have been increasing my activity during this time by 1,000 steps a week. 2,000 the first week. I am no longer taking pain meds other than tylonol on some days when needed. It is still sore and after doing the 10,000 steps the last two days I hurt, was swollen and uncomfortable. Mostly my legs, back, neck and shoulders. Maybe time for a good massage again (avoiding abdominal area).

Having some clothing crisis again. Suddenly all my shirts that were loose but I could still wear are just hanging on me. I went through my shelves and eliminated 3/4 of them. T shirts and dress shirts are on the schedule for the rest of the week. Again some might be taken up (when I have the time) provided I don't loose more between now and when I have time to do it! That's what happened with many things this past year I thought I could take in. By the time I got to them I would be re making the whole thing! Now I am not complaining but this does take time and well I am also trying to get back to work (still catching up there), get back to exercising and walking, and have spiritual, home, hobbies, pets and friendships. Sometimes it is pick and choose. Lord clarify the right choices to prepare me to be FIT. Thank you lord for this day off even if I will spend it cleaning out the closet again.

I said last year was the year of change and it occurs to me I came out of the closet all year. I shifted clothing out of the closet that were too big and found smaller sizes I had stored that I could still wear. In December I began buying some smaller sizes for the first time. Size 6 pants and Medium/Large shirts. I don't usually wear too clingy shirts but don't want them sloppy big :).
