How many times?

How many times have I decided that this will be the year that I lose weight and get my health back on track? Every time I make this decision my previous failures scream at me that this time I will fail too.

Well this time I don't want to let that negative voice make me feel unworthy (or incapable) of success.

I am making positive choices every day and I have decided that this year is it (flash to mental image of Anne Marie in January 2015 saying/typing this same message. Ouch!)

The one thing I know is that I am going to try to trust myself to do it right this year, no outrageous pressure, just positive support and planning. Wish me luck!

    Yes, good luck to us both! My FitBit said "Walk Me" when I looked at it this morning. Ouch! And my calves hurt from my brief stint on the treadmill. The soreness is a good reminder to keep moving, though!

    I completely relate. I just spent a week at the beach and felt like a whale. And I remember boating last summer and promising myself I was going to get in swimsuit shape. No excuses for me this time.

    I'm excited about your Fitbit. I had one when they first came out, and I used it every day to track 10,000 steps. If I still had steps to go at the end of the day, I'd just walk in place before going to bed. Unfortunately, I left mine in my pocket and it went through the wash. I think you may have inspired me to get a new one.

    Thank you both for your support! I wrangled my family into helping to get me motivated by getting FitBits for everyone and starting a family challenge. My son and I were doing competitive laps around the house to stay ahead of each other!
