I saw this quote this morning, and it made me smile.
i do NOT have time to be fat anymore. I have time to pay attention to my body, pay attention to what goes into my body, and pay attention to how much I move my body.
SO often i would ignore these things, and look where that's gotten me : here.
I have begun to ENJOY getting on the scale every morning. Every pound or ounce of loss is one baby step closer to my goal.
I stepped on the scale this morning and I have lost another full pound since yesterday. I cheered and ran through the house screaming that I had lost another... because you HAVE to celebrate little things. make a big deal out of EVERY pound lost! LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO REJOICE ONLY WHEN YOU'VE HIT YOUR GOAL. rejoice EVERY TIME you lose or make a healthy decision. Not only will you be getting on track with your weight, but you are conditioning your body to make healthy choices in the future.
My husband is incredible. He is so encouraging and loving. Every time I lose even a few ounces, he congratulates me and pushes me to keep going. Growing up, my parents were so strict about dieting, and when I weighed myself... If i hadn't lost a few pounds, they would always be disappointed. I hated dieting and I hated exercising, growing up, because it always seemed like a punishment. I'm retraining my brain to look at all of this differently now.
I eat healthier and watch my calories because... I DESERVE IT.
I exercise and make a point to move more often because... I DESERVE IT.
I limit myself on certain foods/drinks because... I NEED TO LEARN SELF CONTROL, SO THAT I CAN BE THE WEIGHT THAT I WANT TO BE... THE WEIGHT THAT I DESERVE.
You deserve to be the weight you want to be. Do this for YOURSELF... not anyone else.
Stick with it, friends!! EVERY DAY i remind myself that it's one baby step at a time. you can do it!!
