Well That Sucks!

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

For the last 3 years I have been part of our health and wellness program at work. I kept track of my workouts, eating, did everything I was suppose to get get the min number of points that would make me eligible to take part to the give always at the end of the year. I mean really..it was no brainier. emoticon I'm already doing the tracking here.

I took the classes/seminars they had, both online and in person. First year I won a $150 gift card to any Stations Casino (2011), last year (2012) I won an iPod Nano, this year (2013) we are waiting for the drawings. But now they have changed the program and have kicked me OUT of it. emoticon No..not just me..but anyone who doesn't get their health care from one of the company plans. I don't. I'm covered under my hubby's plan (better plan, less money). So I get an e-mail saying so sorry but you are NOT eligible to take part in the new healthy tracker program. I guess I'm not suppose to get healthy (or work to stay healthy) unless I pay for health insurance though my work. Not going to happen my friends! They did say they were trying to work something out with Cigna (they provide the health plans) to "explore other avenues that will allow for your participation in the future". But I'm not going to hold my breath. emoticon So like I said...that sucks!

So I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing with all my besties here at Spark! emoticon

It's Hump Day and until that blasted e-mail, everything was going good. Getting work done, planning an outing for my dept, planning cupcakes for Jan Birthdays tomorrow. emoticon

We were able to re-fie the truck loan last Sat, but now it looks like it's screwed up. We took $10K into the CU and put it down on the truck loan (first payment wasn't even due yet). It reduced the monthly payment by $400. They told it would take a few days for the accounts to settle out but in looking at it today..they have the new loan and the old one is still there with $1000 showing on it. It seems they didn't transfer the interest that the first loan had built up in the less then 30 days we had that loan to the new one. We made a point to be clear when we went to do this that we didn't want any left over on that loan. That we couldn't do the $10K is we also had to make a payment on the old loan. emoticon So now we have to go into the CU on Sat and figure out what to do. I did look at the old loan account and the payment is $400 for this month. But it should have a payment AT ALL! emoticon

It looks like hubby decide to change our plans for Hawaii and we'll be in Honolulu the first week and Hilo the second. That way we'll at least get to see the grandkids while we're there. So now we have to figure out how long we're going to be in Hawaii. We might cut the trip a bit short. If that happens...maybe I can take a few days off when my family is here in March. emoticon

Eating was OK yesterday. I was within calories and I today it's been good. I did 60 mins in the gym and have logged it all. emoticon

Have a great rest of Hump Day!
