Thyroid Is Good To Go!

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

So I called my Doctor's office on Monday and asked if I could find out my test result for my thyroid and they said yes but they would have to call me back with the results. After about 2 hours or so they called me to let me know my thyroid is within the normal range of 0.4-5.0. My thyroid was 1.58 with is a pretty decent number :) I'm really happy to know that I'm healthy and there is nothing wrong with me except for the fact I'm still "overweight" but at least I don't have diabetes or high cholesterol. I've been taking my vitamin d pills once a week in the hopes it raises my low vitamin d levels. The Dr. who I had before the nurse practitioner said the low vitamin d level was nothing to be worried about because the area we live in has notoriously low levels of vitamin d. I found that a bit funny to hear because I live in California but many forget that the bay area is often times cloudy and honestly don't get a lot of sun like southern or northern California does.

I suffer from Hypothyroidism so this blog title brought me here and to your sparkpage because I was intrigued. Did you have issues with your thyroid before now, if I may ask? I always dream of being pill-free someday!!

Well done on a good thyroid result!
