continuing in the vein of 'ads, pop ups and intrusion of privacy' i would like to ask that if your bank accosted you - up in your face - every time you went to deposit or withdraw or otherwise deal with them - would you accept this simply because the bank is there? right now i know they ask if you are interested in possibly buying certain products - you say no thank you- end of story.
but this is unrelenting and more more more stuff is strewn all over the site. lots of it is counter productive or down right opposite to what SPARK is supposed to be trying to do .
i am not spending as much time on the site as one of the other posters remarked. i hate that things just cover my screen when i am blogging and in the middle of a thought.
why does everything have to be spoiled - movies on tv take three times longer to watch - important messages or news get cut off to make room for a commercial -
the other day i was watching a lovely U TUBE video of a small toddler and their rescue dog - it was captivating - FOR ABOUT FOUR SECONDS - then it was cut of for HUMIRA -
we lay down to all of this - at one point in time the shift took place - prior to that shift WE were in charge cause they needed to have us watch, be good consumers etc. now - it is all noise and static - bombarding every one with every thing - we are now just automated to it.
i am a thinking person - yes i do turn it off - tune it out - as much as possible . the fashion mags are nothing but ads - every twenty pages or so they may have an article or idea or recipe. the newspaper is a joke - it is smaller and smaller and filled more and more with ads and politics - YUCK just as bad - all lies no substance.
anyway - it is a sad commentary and though you think this is a good deal - it isn't because eventually SPARK will be swallowed up into all of this - and i fear - be gone.
