The power of positive thinking and positive attitude?

I started my first week feeling defeated before I even started. I now think this actually caused me to fail (or contributed to it). My week went really well until Saturday and Sunday and I logged a 2lb weight loss on Saturday morning.

It was my twin sons' birthday though and I had been dreading it all week. Sure enough, I ended up binging on ice cream and cake and not only did I gain the 2lbs back but I also gained an additional pound. Ending my first week with a one pound gain was devastating.

What can do? I cried all through my shower this morning but I have to let it go now. I am going into this week with a determination to succeed and an attitude to match. I am going to stay positive even though it feels fake.
