I know in time this will pay off

Am working on having a healthier lifestyle. Eat better, stay hydrated, exercise more, be more active overall not just exercise, quit smoking, spend more time outdoors. You would think that by doing this you would feel better.
20+ years overweight, smoked a pack a day for around 19 years, stopped being active for the most part for the past 8 years, eating all the wrong foods for as long as I can remember. Many years of well basically abusing my body.
Muscles sore that I didn't even know existed, withdrawls of quitting smoking,
I feel worse than ever right now in some ways, anxiety, sinus infection, bouts of depression, tired but can't sleep, irritable, impatient, scared.
Now not all is negative. More energy during the day, clearer skin, proud of myself for making positive changes, I can't see my belly so easily over my boobs, can put my ankles on my knees without having to pull them up with my hands, knees hurt less, distances that once seemed hard to do are now easy when walking.
Right now the pluses don't seem to be enough and the negatives, whether perceived or not are in the forefront and seem to outweigh the positives.
I refuse to give up and go back to the old ways. I know in time this will pay off.
One day at a time, One step at a time. Before you know it those days and steps add up and you have reached your goal.
