My 2014 comeback has been coming up roses for me so far. I've been eating well, I've been moving and I've seen the results of my hard work on the scale. This weekend is proving to be a challenge.

We went out for dinner at the hibachi place for my brother's birthday last night. Lean meats, veggies, a little bit of rice...not too terrible, until you watch them throw slabs of butter on top of everything. It tasted lovely...but eating so much fatty food after I've been "on-plan" for a week has really thrown my system for a loop. I added insult to injury when we went for ice cream afterward. I wasn't smart with my choices there at all and was so disgusted when I saw the calorie count later last night. It wasn't even that good. Though now I'm glad I didn't eat the whole thing.

Today we're headed to sample wedding food, which I'm sure will be very decadent and delicious. My only consolation here is that like 10 people are going so I'm sure it will only be small bites to sample.

I work tomorrow so I have to plan ahead today for that so that I have something good for lunch and snacks AND something to reheat for dinner, otherwise I'll come home to half a box of pasta and frozen meatballs. My husband is wonderful in that I don't usually have to cook after working 13 hours, but it is usually quick and easy food which is always high in calories. Work is usually busy so I don't always get time to have lunch or snacks so I'm usually ready to eat a horse by time I get home at night.

I have a lot of things I need to work on today.
