What makes a workout good?

How do you know that your workout is good? What are the indicators that you use to measure if it's good or not?

For me, I know my workout is good if I complete the entire routine. If I'm doing cardio, I know it's good if I sweat. If my mood improves, that usually makes it a great workout and if I really liked what I did and want to do it again, that definitely makes it a good workout.
