Learning the hard way

Friday, January 10, 2014

It's not that I didn't work out at all over the holidays. It's just that I spent more time hanging out with my new granddaughter. I usually work out 5 - 6 days a week and over the holidays it was a day here and a day there.

Now that my kids and granddaughter have left and I'm back at work, I'm back to my regular workout schedule. I feel like I haven't worked out in months. Who knew a few days away could feel like forever.

But, I'm back at it and plan to keep my schedule. Hopefully I won't take such a break next time. emoticon

Grand babies are the best. Don't regret the time spent with her in the least. Just need to get up earlier the next time like I do on work days. And it feels good to be getting back to it.

Those darn grandkids are usually WAY more attractive to hang out with than almost anything else we could be doing!!! I figure on this healthy lifestyle journey we all hit bumps in the road (heck, I've wandered off the road ENTIRELY before!). The IMPORTANT thing is that we pick ourselves back up and continue to head in the right direction. It sounds like that is EXACTLY what you're doing. Know there are lots of us right alongside you, cheering you on!
