Happy for "random" acts of friendship.

Thursday, January 09, 2014

I love how the Universe just gives you what you need when you need it. I was feeling really lousy tonight...really blah...depressed...frustrated.
..lonely... Out of nowhere, two of my dear friends contacted me. I got a chance to chat with each of them for quite a while. I made plans to see one of them THREE TIMES between now and the end of the month -- one of those times she is even coming to spend the night. I also got to talk to my other friend about our various depressive states we've both been in. It made both of us feel better to talk to a friend who understands. I think we both needed a reminder that we have a friend who cares...I know I did.

That made my heart smile. I'm so grateful for tonight's correspondence. I really needed it.

Interesting. I received a call last night from a cousin I hadn't seen or heard from since her Mother's funeral 3 months ago. Think she was lonely for family and we had a great time and I know I felt better knowing someone was thinking of me. Hmm, maybe I should call someone like that today. Glad you're feeling better too and have something to look forward to. emoticon

That's great. I know I don't always make the time for friends and end up feeling bad about it. Thanks for the reminder to stay in touch.
