HAPPY NEW YEAR -UPDATES & OTHER THOUGHTS

Monday, January 06, 2014

first- i hope you all are warm and safe. i hope all of your family and friends are well and doing ok.
we have had a rather sad time - when people pass away at this time of year it is particularly painful. we lost two friends - both in their late fifties/early sixties who passed on Christmas Eve and New Yrs Eve respectively. Cancer was the cause. one will not see a new grandchild come into this world.
my friend Esther has had a lot of ups and downs - she is still in the hospital until such time as she can weight bear on the leg - then she can be moved. we had our hands full keeping her house ok - thank God we did not loose power but the bitter cold and the tons of ice and snow had to be cleared. anyway - we and some of the others around here got the job done fairly well so we could reassure her.
i am going to blog a little more about CALORIES IN and CALORIES OUT which i have talked about before. but tonight i am just quickly saying hi- i had the first part of the root canal done today - part two follows in a week.
but all i can say is - three months of abcessed tooth - swollen tongue, pain etc not to mention bad side effects from antibiotics HAS LEFT ME FATTER THAN EVER!!!
i know - go figure.
see you soon !!!! BB

I am sorry to hear of your loss. We also had a death of a very close friend (my husbands best friend) who was only 52. He died in November and it has been a sad holiday year.

I wish you the best. emoticon

So sorry for your loss. Yes, it is difficult to lose someone but around the holidays seems to make it harder. Will keep the families in my prayers.

Wonderful that your there for Esther. I'm sure that is helping her in her recovery.
