I was doing soo good - eating healthier, losing the weight, running more and working toward that goal of running a 5K. All that went downhill when we bought a house and moved. I know it sounds like a silly excuse, but that is the truth. Moving messed up with eating healthier because for a long time we did not have a kitchen. Took 3 months to have kitchen with cabinets and working stove, 4 months to have a kitchen sink. So we did a lot of eating out and prepackaged food. Quit the exercising while working on the house. We now live a good drive from work (whereas at the other house we could walk to work) and we carpool together. I just have not found the time to exercise.
Now that is all behind us. 2014 is the start of a new year and a new beginning for eating healthy and exercising and losing that weight. I changed the goal a bit and would like to loose about 100 pounds in a year. Would be really nice. Once I get to that point, will work on loosing another 50 the following year. Be nice to get back to that high school weight.
Starting off with trying not to drink soda. Have done it for three days so far. My only exception is the few sips here and there when we eat out :) Water is not tasty with good Tex Mex.
As the weather gets warmer and the sun comes up earlier, going to try to get up earlier to work out. Going to try to get back into that 5k training. I still would love to be able to complete a 5K. Also would love to get back to that 7 minute mile from high school when I was running for soccer.
By the end of the year, I would love to not have to buy clothes at Lane Bryant and spend all that money on clothes just because they are size 20+.
