Getting Organized

Things I'm doing to bring the New Me into the New Year:
1) I ordered the Spark Solution today! I looked for it yesterday at a local retail bookstore but I didn't find it. That's OK because I need a few more days to clean and organize my world anyway.
2) I spent about 20 minutes going through my walk-in closet. I removed some clothing that I decided I wouldn't wear again even when I wear that size again. Most items required ironing. Not just ironing, but starch and a firm hand on the iron to make them look like they weren't pajamas. If I could wear them, they would be hanging on the ironing board with the half-dozen shirts that are there now. Ironing is going to have to get on my to do list somehow. Maybe I will do it while watching the season premier of "Downton Abbey" tonight!
3) Budgeting and tracking expenses. While tedious and painful at times, it is actually very helpful to see where the money goes. It's even better to plan ahead for where the money will go and to avoid stressing over the things that must be paid on a regular basis. I bought one of those home/office record keeping books a few months ago and tracked Nov. and part of Dec. before the holidays. Today I will complete Dec. entries and work on Jan. expenses. It is amazing to see how a few dollars spent here and there adds up during the month.
