So, today I was pondering various things.

Well, let me first say this: I went to a water aerobics class for the first time in...well, forever, let's just say. It was difficult. Way more difficult than I remember it being. And my muscles are tired (which is good). I forgot just how much water aerobics can take out of you.

I will say this, however--it was much better (I won't say easier, but definitely better) than when I tried to do the SP 10-minute jumping video.

I just keep reminding myself that I am not at where I was before, so things are going to be much more difficult for awhile. But, if I'm consistent, it will get better!

I think I'm going to stick with the lower impact workouts for a bit, though--just until my stamina and endurance is built up more.

Anywho, I was thinking about this year and my word "Experience". And it occurred to me that what I really need to start doing is taking advantage of the opportunities that come my way to experience new things.

So, today, for example, after water aerobics, I soaked in the hot tub indoors for a bit. While a hot tub is not an entirely new experience, it is something that I haven't done in awhile. Then, I noticed the gal that I knew in my water aerobics class was heading out to the outdoor one.

I haven't been in an outdoor hot tub in January in YEARS!

I debated about going. I really did. And I finally decided that I should go ahead and try it out again...because part of this whole experiencing new things is getting involved in other people's lives.

So I went out there and sat in the hot tub with 3 strangers and one acquaintance.

And it was lovely.

My muscles, which had been so tight during the workout and even stretching afterwards, were so much more relaxed and felt so wonderful.

It was almost as good as getting a massage.

I was pondering some rewards I could do for myself, too.

I'm thinking that at the end of this month, should I complete my goals, I will treat myself to a pedicure. :)

Perhaps you should treat yourself to a massage.

Pedicure sounded nice to me about 2 months ago, but since I have had one of my big toenails removed the girls were quite impolite when looking at it and giggling. I asked them to stop laughing at me and I definitely will not go back there for anything again.

The reason I lost the nail is because I dropped a can of pop on it about 15 years or more ago and it never was the same and eventually developed a fungus that wouldn't go away. Just before I decided it needed to be dealt with, one side became ingrown and the other side popped off and at that point I had to get the podiatrist to remove it which was not one of my favorite visits to the doctor.

So I hope when you have your pedicure you enjoy it more than I did when I had mine.
