First day of 2014!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve, I sure did! Just thought id update you guys on how my first day to 2014 went!

Today I woke up and went straight to our county park and went on a 2 mile walk! I was so proud of myself cause I chose this trail with a HUGE hill probably about 1/3 of a mile long( I didn't really want too but I pushed myself to do it but I did it anyway)lets just say the down part is easy but by the time I went back up the hill I was so out of breath! Didn't even stop half way up! I feel so accomplished! After that I went home to rest for a little bit then went to work! Work was actually great tonight(not just cause it was holiday pay) Its so nice to work for a place were you can get along with everyone and actually make work fun! And now im just sitting home typing this!

In 2014 im going to try something a little different, I going to try to remember to journal the foods I ate that day in my blog! Just an easy way to see what im putting in my body and changes that I need to make in my eating habits

Breakfast essential drink

Medium banana w/ peanut butter
1/3 cup of grapes

3/4 cup of shredded sirloin beef
1.5 cups of cottage cheese(low fat)
1 Biscuit
1Cheese Stick

4 small slice (about 1.5 inches in diameter) of summer sausage
6 small cubes of pepper jack cheese

*Only drank water!

I was pretty happy with my eating habits today! I definitely don't think I over ate! The only thing I would change about today is eating the biscuit I kind of felt guilty when I was eating it for some reason lol & I shouldn't have really ate the snack but I was starving when I got off work I think I made a really good choice with the snack though it could have been a candy bar or chips!

I know you're reading what I ate today and probably thinking why I didn't eat any veggies? I'm not a big vegetable person never really have been. If I do have vegetables they cant be frozen of from a can they have to be fresh(except corn)(I LOVE corn)! Id rater just stick to my fruits! But 2014 is a time for change so I am going to try to eat more vegetables!
