2014 Health & Fitness Goals

Wednesday, January 01, 2014

Experts say that if you write down your goals, making sure to be specific and checking in on them frequently, you are more likely to accomplish them. Well I was getting a little tired of my schlump-y self yesterday for not having written my goals down in September at the start of this course, so I decided to put some numbers to paper and this is the result. I hope that they're attainable in the allotted time I've given myself, but I also know that I work harder given a deadline. ;)

Next 30 Days:
Phase dairy out of my diet (goodbye to cheese... :''''( )
Lose an inch off of every body part with regular cardio (5-6 days a week), weight lifting (2-3 days a week), and clean eating (24/7)!
Weight: 142
Get an official diagnosis on whether or not I have PCOS
Drink 40oz of water/day instead of sipping on coffee during class
Floss daily

Next 45 Days:
Finish my master's thesis
Submit graduation intent (again)
Donate old clothing (too big, too small, haven't worn in years) before moving house

This Year, I WILL:
Have sexy arms for my brother's wedding in May
Reach my goal weight of 130
Body Fat: 23%
Do 200 consecutive sit-ups
Do 60 consecutive push-ups
Do 5 consecutive pull-ups
Run for 10 miles without walking at any point by August 31st
Learn to love myself for who I am and not what I could or "should" be

Those are some serious goals! I'd love to be able to do 5 pull-ups... or even 1! Even at my fittest I was still doing assisted pull-ups. Flossing - yes!!! I set a floss goal many years ago and am a habitual flosser now... I really notice when I don't floss, it's too gross, I have to. Fuzzy teeth, bleh. emoticon

    Wishing you all the best!

I like how you categorized your goals into short, mid, and long term. I'm going to do this on my own blog. Thanks for the idea! Also, I always hear differing opinions on dairy. What's your opinion on it?
