Doctor Who and Pixie Cuts (or, Pixie Cuts are Cool!)

Yes,I still have the flu and it's pretty awful. My immune system sucks and I take three times as long to recover as the rest of the family.
We're out of water and ginger ale! DH won't be up for several hours and I'm not dragging myself to the store.
I finally got the chance to watch the Doctor Who Xmas special. It was beautiful, every scene had something exciting or lovely to see. I love Clara's hair. I like the new Doctor. I went through a lot of tissues.
I had a handful of cool ranch d0ritos last night. My favorite. I will pass up candy or sweets but give me chips and my willpower weakens. However, since I've not been eating much and was way under my cal/fat goal I'm not beating myself up over it. I can have a treat when I'm sick.
My mom gave me a pair of new balance sneakers, so now I have two brand new pairs of walking shoes. One pair is bright blue and the other is bright white. I haven't had white sneakers since I was 10 and the first thing I did when I got home was run through the mud. Bright white shoes look ... I dunno... ugly to me. LOL
My 6 year old daughter got a pixie cut and it is super adorable. She'd been begging for one for weeks. However, she went to the park in her batman jacket and pink batman pants and some little boy teased her and couldn't figure out if she was a girl or a boy. Luckily she wasn't really bothered by it. Later she told me, "that boy was not very smart was he? Doesn't he know girls like Batman?" I'm afraid she'll get teased when school starts next week, but I think she will handle it just fine. ... Or get sent to the principal's office, either one.
My goal today is get some diet ginger ale, sleep a lot and stay under my cal/fat goal. I think this is doable.
Have a good week everyone!
