I start every day with my Mantra-
I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth.
I make the choice to exercise daily.
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind.
I make the choice to be healthy!
And write out my goals for the day-
Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ 80 oz water
~ 15,000 steps
~ 25 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ laugh out loud today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
But then I don't revisit them until the next day. In 2014 I will read my Mantra in the morning and then again at lunch time. I set up a calendar event in my phone that will pop up for me to read.
I plan my dinner menu for the week and use that when I go grocery shopping to make sure I have what I need in the house to create my daily masterpieces. I also create one new masterpiece each week, one that I have not made before, using the cookbooks and recipes available to me.
I visit my Spark Friends daily.
I attend my Weight Watchers meeting at least 3 times per month and continue to weigh in at goal weight for my continued health. (Free e-tools helps too!)
I spend at least 30 minutes per day exercising. Walking, running, elliptical, treadmill or any other form of exercise that is fitting for the day.
I use positive reinforcement rather than looking at the negative side of life.
I know that as the days go by, there will be more goals and plans to be made for 2014, but this is a good start.
