Wrapping up 2013, worst year ever on SparkPeople for me

Well this has been a rough year. I could list the excuses but it doesn't matter. I gained weight this year and it wasn't just a pound. It was a lot of pounds. I don't have the final number for the year but it's about 15 pounds that I have gained this year. I have back tracked a lot!

I'm not back to my starting weight but I did gain about half of it. Very sad. I was 2/3 of the way to my goal, and now... wow. Little by little with one excuse after another the pounds came back on.

I'm not quitting. I'm resolving to do better in 2014, somehow. 2014 has to be better than 2013, right? I sure hope so.

    What will you do differently?

    Otherwise, if you look past the weight gain, how was this year healthy lifestyle terms? I think you did also some good things - being active on Sparkpeople to get back you on track for example! :-)

    But Rebecca, you didn't gain ALL the weight back, so don't start 2014 sad. Turn it right around and treat yourself to success! In the 'old days', BSP (Before Spark People) I bet you'd have -if you're like me- put it all back on before returning to a better regime. So, girl, you've actually succeeded, not failed! You've succeeded at not putting all those hard-fought pounds back on again! Tweak your mindset, ignore the reversible 'damage' and smile at yourself in the mirror for what you DID manage to achieve ie, not putting on all those other pounds!

    Thanks for this blog. It serves to remind others that they are not alone. Yes, your are not a quitter, or you wouldn't have posted this.
