post Christmas

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good Christmas and all you Canucks had a good Boxing Day (I'm not sure what Boxing Day is except a day off)

Anyway, DH got me a fitbit for Christmas. I didn't even think he knew what that was! So I've been playing with it. It's pretty cool, but can anyone tell me how to connect it to SparkPeople?
I've been syncing it, but I don't know where the information goes. (Ok I'm pretty computer illiterate) Any help would be appreciated!

I have the SP activity tracker but was debating that or Fitbit. Let me know how you like it!

I just learned that Boxing Day was when people boxed up the things they weren't using anymore and donated them to the less fortunate. I think that's an excellent tradition and will adopt it from now on! I also read its just a lazing around day at this point to most people, but I say giving to let needy is much better!

LOL .... I hear you! can't you go on the fitbit web site and have them tell you or contact them It's usually on there somewhere, or do a web search.

Spark is offering 10.00 bucks off their version and I'm considering it.

And cool trivia info on Boxing day.... didn't know what it meant! though why are they celebrating 2 guys in a boxing ring??!?!

I am not a "fitbitter" yet, but one day I will read through this blog, and figure out how to use mine!

Hey, that's great!! The fitbit will give you lots of good information, but it is not infallible. It tracks walking/running very well, but does a horrible job with ST or upper body workouts. I can work up quite a sweat and get breathless shoveling snow and it may credit me with a couple minutes for a half hour's effort. Part of that may be where it is worn. I wear mine on my bra, it seems pretty secure there. I tried my pants waistband and my first one worked its way off, fortunately I didn't lose it. If you got the one that tracks flights of stairs, it doesn't do a very good job with that unless you are moving fairly rapidly and firmly up the stairs.

Play around with it, just like we do with Spark. Enjoy!!

If you go to the activity tracker page there is a place to sync a fit bit. I absolutely love mine!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

And Boxing Day is the day following Christmas when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts, known as a "Christmas box", from their bosses or employers.

Today, Boxing Day is a bank holiday observed in the United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and other Commonwealth nations.
