My new baby...

is a pressure cooker! My parents bought me one for Christmas. I am so so excited! I'm going to make a split pea soup tonight. (I hope! I'm really nervous.) I could really use recipe suggestions! Do you have a pressure cooker? What's your favorite meal? Do you have a good site you go for ideas? HELP!

I also got Shakespeare's Star Wars book, Finn the human robe, walking shoes, 5 pound weights and a bottle of vodka. Best Christmas ever!

    OMG I know it is silly but I really am nervous about it. I already burnt myself doing the "make sure this works but putting water in and cooking it". Steam is hot! lol ;)

    We're close to finding out if the split pea soup worked!

    The cool thing is, it's also a rice cooker, a slow cooker, AND you can brown veggies or meat in it.

    ETA: It worked! And the soup was delicious!

    I have a pressure cooker but I usually only cook beans with it, once in awhile, I do ribs, a great little item, but I am still nervous around it a bit, my DH usually does most of the cooking of it

    my neighbor lady loaned me hers to do some canning with ... but she told me she used to make stew in it all the time. Congrats on the new baby!
