Monitoring Alcohol Effects - Experiment - Day #5

Thursday, December 26, 2013

December 25/26:

Slept well last night, and am feeling pretty good....aside from being a bit tired. BUT, I'm sure that pretty much everyone who hosted Christmas yesterday feels the same!

Today will be quiet and as laid back as possible. My (notoriously high-maintenance and crazy-making) MIL left early this morning after a 2 week visit, so that removes a lot of pressure. Even our kids (who of course love their grandma) have remarked that they have been looking forward to the end of her visit emoticon

I'm quite honestly amazed that I've had no mood-swings from the alcohol .... it has been such a powerful constant. So I don't know if it's because the wine has been very good quality, or if the supplement support (Bs, C & multi) have done the trick. In any case, will take my vits again today, 'might' have a little wine to wind-down with DH, then it's back to clean-living for a few days until NY eve....Jan 1 will find me back on the super-healthy track!

I have a MIL like that. She lives a few states away, so when she comes to visit or for any reason, like seeing other family even, she stays with us and it is for 1-2 weeks every time.

    omg- that MIL of yours-
    she's like a recurring nightmare!
How did your dear man ever turn out so well?
I think I told you one of my best friend's mother (also French!) is a lot like that- cannot stand anyone near her being happy for a minute.
Well, enjoy the respite- hope your dear kidlets are happily playing with their gifts and you can have some peaceful times to yourself.

Mostly a wine drinker myself, what I find is that the wine impacts me less on my good exercise / good eating days. Not sure if there is really a correlation, but that is my 2 cents...
