New Year Goals

Well, it is that time again. My first goal is to get back to my maintenance weight, about 10 pounds. My focus will be on losing body fat % rather than just pounds. This means I will need to pay greater attention to the amount of fatty foods I eat. I have been getting my mind set to overcoming the thoughts that I just gotta have _________ (fill in the blank) and that it is ok to be a bit hungry throughout the day.
I came to realize that I often eat just to eat something. So, I am hoping to follow some of the Beck Diet Principles because then I am actually paying more attention to what, why and how I am eating.
My hubby has decided that he is going to cut back on his chocolate eating which will mean that there should be a little less temptation in the house for me.
As for my fitness goals, I am going to commit to that half marathon again in April, take the running class with my granddaughter again in the spring. I am hoping that together we can focus on meeting some time goals for the 5k. I already committed to a 10k in July.
It should be a good year and I am going to focus on being healthy and fit.
