Monitoring Alcohol Effects - Experiment - Day #2

December 21: Holiday Party - 3-4 glasses of champagne

December 22: Foggy, poorish sleep - headache at 4:30 am. Mood is ok but I feel physically unsteady

Took extra Vitamin C, some B Complex and B12 to be sure and give myself some extra nutritional support - alcohol consumption hammers our B vitamin levels!

Fatigue and headache lasted most of the day, but I think the vitamins helped.

Attended our last holiday party before Christmas - AF emoticon Excellent sleep.

December 23: So far so good - feeling rested and well. Weight up 4 lbs since Friday emoticon

    You are smart to do this, Mimi.
    Obviously you have reached the stage of being very sensitive to alcohol.
    I usually only have 1-2 glasses- or 3-4 spread out over 4- 5 hours like at a looooong dinner party but I almost never feel any ill effects at all.
    Of course, I am a lot bigger than you.

    I am in the process of cutting out alcohol, but I used to be quite a drinker and I found the trick to not feeling terrible is waking up around 6 AM, pounding back 2-4 cups of water, and then sleeping some more. After waking up the second time, drink a cup of lemon water (I do an entire lemon squeezed in to the cup), wait an hour, then have a whole bunch of buttery toast. If that doesn't do it then there was no helping it to begin with. Those are bad days.
