2013 Personal Goal Met

My goal in 2012 was to jog/walk 500 miles. When I met that goal last year, I set a goal of 600 miles for 2013.
I ran 4 miles this morning and realized, after my Spark Tracker recorded my mileage, that I was only 2 miles from my goal. My husband and I walked the last 2 miles this evening as the sun went down.
Even though my health was problematic in November, I was pretty sure that I would still meet my goal. I was unable to put in longer distances in November, but by being consistent and very moderate (a mile here......a mile there....) I was able to maintain until my health improved. My mileage increased this week and a was able to meet my goal.
So the lesson again for me, with health and exercise, is to be gentle with myself and treat myself kindly, but keep my eye on the ultimate goal of healthy living through fitness, healthy eating, personal and spiritual growth, and outgoing love.
