Day 16. If I could change one thing about myself, it would be _______. How and why would you make that change?

to become less of a loner....but maybe not. I like to be alone with my quiet, thoughts, hobbies and habits. I would like to be mre outgoing and people oriented. But then again, maybe not.

This is me also. I am learning ways to change it and I am reaping the rewards in many ways. I still enjoy my "alone" time but I am having a blast with others!

I am such an extrovert! Of course, I like some quiet time, but I would never over-do it. A few hours is plenty of quiet time for me! LOL

I could have written what you wrote. I have no problem being alone either and occasionally I think maybe I could be less a loner. I am happy as I am (most of the time) and I expect you are too. emoticon

Why do you feel the need to be more outgoing? I think God created each of us with unique personalities. From the time my children were newborns, their personalities were evident. As they have grown, their interests, friends, music, etc., have changed, but their basic personalities have never wavered. My daughter is extremely shy. Every year at Parent/Teacher conferences, the teachers would tell her she needed to speak up in class more. I always thought, "why"? She's learning (straight As since kindergarten and she is now in 10th grade). She has a couple of close friends with whom she feels comfortable sharing her feelings (and texts nonstop!). Most of all, she enjoys being by herself, writing, reading, or listening to music. I wouldn't want her to be anyone other than who she is. I think you are special just the way you are! Sometimes there is something to be said for those who sit back and listen. They tend to be a source of great strength.

emoticon It's funny but I just pinned that quote on my pinterest board. The desire to become more outgoing and embrace life is the ultimate goal but why have I been content to be in my safe cocoon for so long. Dr. Phil says we do nothing in this world without some payoff. WOW I have quoted him twice this month I need to sit down. lol
