A new twist to Survivor

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

This is Baha, DS's Sugar Glider. Sunday morning, she was
barking in her cage, not the first time so I didn't think too
much about it. When I went up to wake DS for church, the
cage door was open and she was gone. Several times
during the day, we checked out the other rooms and the
hallway and couldn't see her. When DS left for college,
we both thought I wouldn't find her until it was too late.
Last night I went through all the rooms with a flashlight
and still nothing.
But, finally, as I went downstairs for the last time to
check my newly hatched chicks, there she was on
the cold basement floor. Evidently she had been
hiding and I didn't catch her in the flashlight beam. So
I scooped her up, carried her upstairs to show DH
and then promptly put her back in her cage with
fresh water, feed and fruit. So, tonight I snapped
a picture so you can see the newest "Survivor".
Two days in a strange environment must have been
hard for her but now she is where she belongs.
I did call DS and told him that his little pet was
safe and sound. He was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful
Wednesday. HUGS!

Oh, my!!! Poor Baha!!! What she must have been through being lost and all!! I am most sure that she is glad to be home and safe and warm!!! Btw, so how's the chicks??? My neighbor has lost, now a total of 3. They were Rock Barred hens....1 died the day after she got her, 1 died during the summer and the last sweet girl died a couple of weeks ago (and she was the first of all to lay any eggs!!) We don't know why, she stopped eating and drinking, got dehydrated real quick. She'd force feed her and give her water, but it just didn't help. They are apparently are not super hardy in the cold temps. I miss Little.
Anyway.........glad Baha is found and is ok. She is, indeed a "Survivor"!!! (((HUGS)))

Where she's so tiny, it is easy to see how she was hard to find. With the concrete being cold and without good or water am sure she was glad to be found. The prodigal son but where the father goes and pursues him; maybe then the Good Shepherd.

I always tell people who are considering having children to get a baby pet first. If they can survive that, then a baby is a piece of cake. The stuff pets do!

Oh, my goodness... wouldn't have been safe around my mighty hunter cat (he's taken bats out of the air in the house). Glad she's safe... cages are for a reason, little one!

Today, instead of leaving your blog to check the weather I left to look up sugar gliders. What a cute little creature (and a Great Escape artist!) I'm glad everyone is back where they belong!

I would say she is an escape artist as well as a survivor. Glad to know you found her in time.
