Just a thought

Things are winding down here at church as we prepare for Christmas. It is interesting how busy and hectic it gets just prior to this extremely important holiday, and then all at once things stop.

While i enjoy all of the activity and the times of celebration, i also enjoy the down time that i get to spend with my family. sometimes doing nothing is a true blessing.

Hopefully, you and your family are enjoying your preparations as get ready for this wonderful time of the year.

I completely agree...Sometimes it is so nice to just hang out with my husband and children and not have to worry about driving/going here or there.

Now that my DH "Childrens Christmas Dinner" is over for another year, it's emoticon Nothing got broken this time (even though the parents let their children run wild), everyone seemed to enjoy the dinner and KC Chiefs winning, and one of his sons actually volunteered to help with the after dinner clean-up (FIRST TIME ANY OF HIS 6 CHILDREN VOLUNTEERED TO HELP DO ANYTHING!!!), I ended up doing everything myself...except taking the leaf out of the dining room table (it makes out into a banquet table). Husband was busy entertaining our guests while I put the food away and cleaned everything up .

Time for me to take a break. I'm really looking forward to next Sunday visiting with my mom and grandson in Oklahoma.

People seem to forget that "Jesus is the reason for the season". Blessings to you and your family. Merry Christmas
