A little of this and that

First of all, the origin of "snow soup" came from a time when we
had a foreign exchange student from the Ukraine. I seemed to
make cheeseburger soup every time it snowed. So he and another
exchange student started calling it "snow soup" and the name stuck.
Last night I was sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor. DH
had spent most of the evening in the den but came out and
"helped" me-for all of 5 minutes. He grabbed a rag and was
scrubbing a spot in front of the refrigerator and informed me
that I had missed it with the mop. I politely pointed out that it
was part of the pattern of the tile and showed him another
tile that was identical to it. He stared at it for some time then
shrugged his shoulders and went back to watching tv. I knew
better than to laugh but after 3 years of the same floor, you
would think he had a clue.
Today was a day to make deep inroads in housecleaning. I swept
the living room, moved ALL of the furniture into the dining room
and mopped the entire room. I did the same with the dining room,
moving everything into the living room, except the buffet, china
hutch and grandfather clock. I vacuumed the bedroom and swept
the den and hallway. The hallway was mopped but I saved the den
After lunch, we mixed up a huge batch of cookie dough for DH's
favorite filled raisin cookies. But, by tonight, we decided to
wait for a better day to bake. Unexpected company and a
very late dinner ate up the best hours of the evening.
DS came home from college and I have finished all of his
laundry, washed, folded and ready for his return to school.
He went to the basketball games and may be playing in the
band. Most of his friends are home for Christmas.
So, now I am Sparking so I can go to bed early. Have a
wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by. HUGS!
