Staying on Track for the Holidays!

How can I keep up with a healthy diet and fitness program—let alone lose weight—with so much going on? The Christmas season lasts for weeks! There are more parties, more potlucks, more food gifts, more cookies and well, just more everything! How do we survive?

That answer is simple: Stick with your plan. I've overcome temptations and slip-ups before. Every day poses challenges, Why should the holidays be any different? If I want to lose weight this month, I can. I just have to choose to stay in control, one day at a time.

✳To accomplish that, I'm going to track my food every day. If I slip up and succumb to temptation, I'll count it and try to balance out my day's calories with a lighter dinner choice.

✳Planning is also a must! Each Sunday night, I'll make my menu plans for the week.

✳I'll include plenty of Freggies for snacks with an emphasis on the "veggie" part!

✳I'll continue with my streak of exercising at least 20 minutes each day - making time for my workout!

I read: "Don't Make Mountains Out of Molehills! - It's easy to go over your calories one day and feel like a failure. But remember that it takes much more than one day of overeating to thwart your progress. Accept your slip-ups, learn from them and move on."

✳I won't let any slip-ups derail my overall effort! I need to stop the mentality that says - "I blew it - I may as well continue to blow it!"

✳ I will not give up!
