Tomorrow’s Victory Celebration

Friday, December 13, 2013

I’m soo psyched for tomorrow morning. I lead a F2F First Place 4 Health group at my church and tomorrow as the title of this blog states, is our VICTORY CELEBRATION. emoticon No biggie as we have one of these celebrations after every 12-week Bible Study session. Since our weekly meetings are held early Saturday mornings we all bring in HEALTHY breakfast type foods to share as a meal together. emoticon Besides going over the success emoticon and progress emoticon of all the members we share good times with fellowship emoticon as well as exchange the different recipes emoticon of food brought in.

What I’m psyched about is the recipe I am making and have actually posted it on SP as well, appropriately named “Cinnamon Apple French Toast Casserole”. It’s a remake or retake on a casserole that is assembled the night before and placed into the fridge to be baked the next morning. Some families make these on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve and then have a tasty dish in the morning all prepare, only needing to pop in the oven and breakfast is served!!

I so like to revamp recipes and do note that quite a lot of recipes here on SP are still very high in calories and are just normal recipes, not always the healthiest so you need to beware. I like to try and cut down the sugar as well as sodium and fat. In doing any of these usually results in much lower calories but TASTE is very important. There is no sense in changing up a good recipe only to have it taste HORRABLE!! So I like when I can make a “revised” recipe and have others try it without them knowing what or if it’s even been altered. So wish me luck that it’s taste as good as it sounds!
