By-the-way, it was probably 1946 when I made that set in VBS!!! An antique??? So am I.

I also have a great collection of Nativity sets, but do not have a black one. That is neat. I do have little Mexican figures I got when visiting Mexico.
Unfortunately we now winter in FL and cannot display all my sets like I used to. I have one pretty white set with many figurines that a lady made and her husband sold it to me after she passed away and I have room for it each year.
My collection started when I was about 11 and we made the figures in Vacation Bible School. I prize that set.

I have a friend who was a missionary in Ethiopia. I'll have to check with her and find out if she brought any back with her. Yours are lovely. It's amazing how many different versions there are. The Native American one with the teepee instead of a stable is one we see a lot around here. I just saw one today that was snowmen. I resisted...but it was sure cute. And my mom has the Cherished Teddies one. I don't even remember...was that 20 years ago they were all the rage??

And yet I still have not run across any kind in the major discount stores. Saw some gorgeous ones of just the holy family in Ross today. And the snowman one was at Goodwill. I'll have to look at WalMart and K-Mart tomorrow.
