Holding steady....

The 'good days' are linking together to form longer chains, and the bad days are fewer and farther between....starting to feel on steadier ground and enjoying a newfound sense of peace and stability. Have kept up well with yoga and LOVE the fact that the studio near me has a really broad range of classes....including regular restorative, therapeutic and entry level classes. This has made it approachable and doable for me as, incredibly for me, I found even entry-level classes challenging at first. A lifetime athlete, this is the first time I've experienced my body failing me - what a wake-up call.

I have attended class an average of 3 times per week and it has been wonderful. My pass runs out next week, and I intend to renew - it is worth it.

I'm not ready to put many demands on myself (not sure when I will be), but gentle goal-setting seems reasonable, as there are some areas where I can be more helpful to myself. Here are my goals from now 'til month's end:

* Continue yoga 3 x weekly, including at least one restorative class per week
* Add 2 brisk cardio sessions to weekly activity in addition to the 30 minute round trips for yoga
* Structure eating - i.e. regular meals and snacks - no more grazing (weight is fine, but the quality of my nutrition needs improvement - I've been nibbling a lot and know I'm not getting the high-quality nourishment I really need right now).
* Take supplements daily.
* Stay AF - boy oh boy does this help me big time!

The biggest change right now will be eating - I think I'll adopt the Clean Eating sched I used to use, just to make sure I'm eating quality and eating regularly - the predictability of that program was always really helpful.

    we would all be wise to do those things.
    I'm so glad you are feeling better.
    I have been so busy lately- between the prep for and the birth of our new baby, which will continue for a while, helping out and doing some cooking for them, etc.- the holidays- and my work (about 5 different clients for just short shifts- not a lot of hours but so much running around!) I have been neglecting my self- care- sloppy about my eating or not eating enough, not working out nearly as much, even my stretching, which brings almost immediate bad results to my hips.
    I feel like I'm on a ride going too fast.
    DEFINITELY finding me a yoga class after xmas.
